The SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) under the Planning and Transformation Department, Government of Nagaland was established with technical assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with a mandate to act as a centre for SDG knowledge dissemination, monitoring, policy strengthening and as an accelerator of SDG implementation across the State.

The State of Nagaland is committed to the 2030 Agenda and has set ambitious targets for the State. The State is equipped with the technical knowledge, capacity, resources and system to implement and achieve the Nagaland SDG Vision 2030.

Objective

The SDGCC acts as a centre for SDG knowledge dissemination, monitoring, policy strengthening and as an accelerator of SDG implementation across the State. The five Key pillars of the SDGCC are:

  • 1. Communication and capacity building around the SDG vision of the state for realizing its targets.
  • 2. Integrated planning and implementation by proposing innovations and solutions to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs.
  • 3. SDG localization by adapting the SDG vision for state-, district-, block- and village-level authorities in their respective plans.
  • 4. Resource mobilization and partnership through plans and systems to mobilize partners and resources to meet the unprecedented need for human, financial and physical resources.
  • 5. Monitoring & evaluation through sophisticated technology-based tools to monitor the progress of the SDG Vision 2030.
